In this blog, I have converted yin yang symbol into free cross stitch pattern. The converted pattern has dimension 99 stitches for length and height or equivalent to 7.07 x 7.07 inches (14 stitches per inch). Only full cross stitches are used in this pattern. Total colors used are 3 colors using DMC threads.

The concept of Yin Yang or Yinyang derived from Chinese Philosophy and Ancient Metaphysics that explain each of the objects in the universe has a polarity. The polarity forms the two main forces that are always opposite, but always complement each other.

Yin is passive, sad, dark, feminine, responsive, and is associated with the night. Yang is active, light, masculine, aggressive, and is associated with the day. Yin symbolized with water, whereas Yan symbolized with fire. Yin (feminine, black, passive) and Yang (masculine, bright, active) are the two elements that are complement each other. Every power in nature considered to have the Yin and Yang.
